Upcoming Shows:

Tell It: Brooklyn is thrilled to host our show twice a month at two different venues!

Join us! First Wednesdays at The Fifth Estate, and Third Tuesdays at Threes Brewing.

Tell It: Fifth Estate is now all open mic, all the time! Now we can cram as many 5-minute stories into our hour & a half as possible! Check the theme, come with a kick ass tale, and drop your name in our can for your moment in the spotlight.

Tell It: Threes is our curated show. Each month, we feature 3 awesome storytellers, as well as a few open mic spots for audience members who want to get in on the fun. If you’re interested in being a featured performer, we invite you to pitch your story to us!

Check the upcoming themes then send a synopsis of your story (beginning, middle, AND end, please*) along with which theme you’re pitching for to TellitBrooklyn@gmail.com.

Have an awesome story that doesn’t fit one of our themes? We wanna read that, too! Please pitch away and just put “best story ever” in the subject line … because we’re sure it is

Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 8PM

Format: Curated Show with Open Mic Slots

Venue: Threes Brewing, 333 Douglass St, Gowanus

Theme: Loving it!

FEATURING: Sean O’Brien (Kidiot), Jamie Brickhouse (Beavis & Butthead), & Drew Prochaska (Moth StorySLAM winner)

Come out to hear our stories on the theme of “Loving it!” and drop your name in our can for a chance to tell your own. Interpret it as chance to share your newfound obsession with otter videos, or trying to break that McD’s habit … if it’s a kick ass story, bring it.

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 8PM

Format: 100% Open Mic!

Venue: The Fifth Estate, 506 5th Ave, Park Slope

Theme: Going, Going, Gone!

Could it be? This may very well be our last show among the dings and pings of pinball machines at The Fifth Estate, as well as that bloody, loud-assed heater. Join us to tell your 5-minute story about auctions, or extended breakups, or just getting the hell out.

Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 8PM

Venue: Threes Brewing, 333 Douglass St, Gowanus

Theme: Bring the Pain

FEATURING: Sharon Spell, Tommy O’Malley (RISK!), & Julia WHitehouse (Happy Hour Story Hour)

Sometimes we brought it, other times it was brought upon us. This month’s theme is Bring the Pain, which could be about physical discomfort or emotional trauma—or even an experience in a French bakery—it’s up to our tellers … and YOU. Drop your name in our can for a chance at 5 minutes on stage with us!

*Note on Pitching: We really do want to know the whole story so, as intriguing as your, “You’ll just have to book me to find out the rest,” cliffhanger may be, those kinds of pitches will be ignored.
